We started off our grand tour of Tennessee in Memphis, the city best known as home to the King of Rock & Roll Music 🎶 – the beloved 💕 one and only Elvis Presley.
เราไปเริ่มการตระเวนเที่ยวรัฐเทนเนซซี่กันที่เมืองเมมฟิซ เมืองที่ใครๆรู้จักกันเพราะเป็นที่ตั้งของคฤหาสน์แห่งราชาเพลง 🎶 ร็อคแอนด์โรล คุณเอลวิส เพรสลีย์ ขวัญใจ 💕 แฟนเพลงทั่วโลกนั่นเอง
Our first stop was the Memphis Bass Pro Shop. Not only is this shop located inside the 10th-tallest pyramid in the world, but it also houses a Wahlburgers, a hotel, a bowling alley, a giant aquarium, and a swamp with live alligators! 🤯 We took the elevator up to their observation deck where we caught a beautiful view of the Mississippi River.
จุดแวะแรกเป็นร้าน Bass Pro สาขาเมืองเมมฟิซ ซึ่งนอกจากจะตั้งอยู่ภายในปิรามิดที่มีความสูงเป็นอันดับที่สิบของโลกแล้ว ภายในยังเพียบพร้อมไปด้วยร้าน Wahlburgers ชื่อดัง โรงแรมที่พัก สนามโบว์ลิง ตู้ปลาขนาดมหึมา แถมยังมีบึงจระเข้ที่มีจระเข้เป็นๆว่ายน้ำไปมาให้ชมอีกด้วย 🤯 เราขึ้นลิฟต์ไปที่จุดชมวิวบนยอดปิรามิดเพื่อไปชมวิวสวยๆเลียบฝั่งแม่น้ำมิซซิสซิปปี้กันก่อนกลับ

We had our first dinner at Good Fortune Co. where the food and drink were way above average, but the highlight of the night for me was this soft serve ice cream topped with housemade chilli oil 😳 which our very lovely bartender/server insisted we just had to try. It did blow my mind away, just like she said it would – truly one of the wildest flavor combinations I had ever encountered! 😆
มื้อเย็นวันแรกเราไปกินกันที่ร้าน Good Fortune Co. ทั้งอาหารและเครื่องดื่มรสชาติน่าประทับใจ แต่ที่ลืมไม่ลงก็คือของหวานปิดท้าย ที่คุณบาร์เทนเดอร์ใจดีแอบเอามาให้ลองชิม เป็นไอศครีมวานิลลาราดหน้าด้วยน้ำมันพริกที่เชฟทำเองกับมือ 😳 ฟังดูแล้วไม่น่าจะเข้ากันได้ แต่กินเข้าไปแล้วสะดุดปุ่มรับรสแบบเหนือความคาดหมาย ประมาณว่าแปลกแต่ดีงาม ตามที่เจ๊แกโฆษณาเอาไว้จริงๆ 😆
No trip to Memphis would be complete without a visit to the infamous Sun Studio, the birthplace of Rock ‘n’ Roll where many famous artists recorded their hit songs, including Elvis Presley, B.B. King, and Johnny Cash.

The beautiful Elmwood Cemetery is the final resting place for many notable figures.

My most favorite part of Metal Museum, apart from their very elaborate metal display pieces, was their light switch covers – so unique! 😍
พิพิธภัณฑ์โลหะแห่งนี้มีผลงานสวยๆงามๆให้ชมอยู่หลายชิ้น แต่ที่ประทับใจที่สุดคงจะต้องเป็นฝาครอบสวิตช์ไฟของเค้า ซึ่งแหวกแนวไม่เหมือนใคร แถมยังมีเอกลักษณ์ตรงฉบับตามแผนของสถานที่เป๊ะๆ 😍

Lorraine Motel, famous for being the scene where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. got assassinated, is now part of the National Civil Rights Museum.

At the Peabody Hotel, we took the elevator to check out the Duck 🦆 Palace on the top floor, before coming back down to wait for their popular 5pm duck march. We managed to snag (what we originally thought was) one of the most perfect seats at the bar, with direct view of the red carpet. At the very last minute, this old lady (short white hair with glittery jacket in the picture) decided she would pulled her chair way up front, in the middle of the pathway, blocking our entire view, so she could get a better view than the one she already had (she was sitting just to the side of the very front table). 😐 She did look back and I signaled to her that she was now blocking our view, but she just shrugged, turned away, and never looked back again. 🤦♀️ Our lovely waitress offered to call security when she learned of the incident, but my too-nice husband thought it was an overkill to ruin a mean old lady’s evening, ‘just over some ducks’. 🤷♀️ I made do by climbing up and stood tiptoeing on my stool, just to get a partial view of the ducks when they started marching down the red carpet, so at least the entire trip was not a total waste! 😓
ที่โรงแรม Peabody ก่อนอื่นเราขึ้นลิฟต์ไปชั้นบนสุดเพื่อไปชมแมนชั่นที่อาศัยของฝูงเป็ด 🦆 ชื่อดังซึ่งเป็นไฮไลท์ของโรงแรมนี้ จากนั้นจึงกลับลงมาที่บาร์ในล๊อบบี้ชั้นล่างเพื่อรอชมน้องเป็ดทั้งหลายเดินตามพรมแดงกลับขึ้นบ้านตอนห้าโมงเย็น มาถึงอุตส่าห์ดีใจว่าได้โต๊ะนั่งวิวดิบดี ถึงจะอยู่หลังบาร์สุด แต่ก็เห็นวิวตอนเค้าเตรียมปูพรมแดงอย่างชัดเจนไม่มีปัญหา แต่ปรากฎว่าก่อนเป็ดจะเดินลงพรมไม่นาน คุณป้าผมขาวแจ๊กเกตเทาเก๋ไก๋ในรูปซึ่งตอนแรกนั่งอยู่บนโซฟาติดข้างโต๊ะตัวหน้าสุดเกิดคิดขึ้นมาได้ว่าวิวชมเป็ดของแกยังไม่เพอร์เฟกต์พอ แกเลยจัดการลากเก้าอี้ไปจอดที่ตรงกลางทางเดินแบบว่าจะเอาทำเลติดพรมแดงเต็มๆ 😐 พอลงไปนั่งปุ๊บแกอุตส่าห์หันกลับมาเช็คดูว่าบังใครรึเปล่า ไอ้เราก็กวักมือบอกว่าแกบังเรา แกสบตาแล้วสะบัดหน้ากลับไปไม่หันกลับมาอีกเลย 🤦♀️ คุณน้องคนเสิร์ฟที่น่ารักเห็นเหตุการณ์เข้าเลยอาสาจะไปเรียกยามมาจัดการให้ แต่คุณสามีที่น่ารักของเราเกิดใจดีบอกไปว่าอย่าไปไล่ป้าแกเลย ปล่อยแกดูเป็ดไปให้สบายใจเหอะ 🤷♀️ สุดท้ายตอนเป็ดมาอิฉันเลยต้องตะกายขึ้นเก้าอี้เขย่งเขย่อจนขาแข็งให้ได้เห็นไรขนของน้องเป็ดเพื่อที่จะได้ไม่มาเสียเที่ยว 😓
Stopping by to check out the goat 🐐 tower at Silky O’Sullivan’s. Too bad they do not allow customers to feed beer to the goats any more! 😅
แวะไปดูหอคอยแพะ 🐐 ขี้เมาที่หลังร้าน Silky O’Sullivan’s เสียดายที่เดี๋ยวนี้เค้าห้ามไม่ให้ลูกค้าเอาเบียร์ให้แพะกินแล้ว 😅
Beale Street – the main party scene! 🥳
ถนน Beale เป็นจุดที่นักท่องเที่ยวมาปาร์ตี้กัน 🥳
Dinner at Blues City Cafe, famous for BBQ ribs, seafood gumbo, and apple dumplings served in a cast iron skillet. 🤤
มาชิมซี่โครงหมูย่างเลื่องชื่อ กับซุปกัมโบทะเล และพายแอปเปิ้ลราดไอศครีมเสิร์ฟมาในกะทะร้อน ที่ร้าน Blues City Cafe 🤤
Of course, we had to visit Elvis’ home at Graceland! 😆 We were just not thrilled to be charged $10 parking fee on top of the already exorbitant ticket price! 🙄
และแน่นอนว่ามาถึงเมืองเมมฟิซทั้งทีก็จำเป็นต้องไปเยี่ยมบ้านคุณเอลวิสที่ Graceland กัน 😆 ขอแอบบ่นว่านอกจากตั๋วเข้าชมจะแพงหูฉี่แล้ว เค้ายังเก็บค่าจอดรถเราอีกตั้ง 10 เหรียญตอนไปถึง 🙄
Our last stop in Memphis, before we moved on to Nashville, was the Crystal Shrine Grotto, which, according to its web site, claimed to be ‘the only man-made crystal cave in the world‘. This beautiful piece of architectural artwork is located inside Memphis Memorial Park Cemetery. 😍
จุดแวะสุดท้ายก่อนเราจะออกเดินทางจากเมืองเมมฟิซไปยังเมืองแนชวิลล์เป็น ถ้ำสุสานคริสตัล ที่คนสร้างเค้าว่าเป็นถ้ำคริสตัลแห่งเดียวในโลกที่สร้างโดยมนุษย์ ผลงานศิลปะทางสถาปัตยกรรมอันสวยงามแห่งนี้เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของสุสาน Memphis Memorial Park 😍
