Mushroom Walk: Neighborhood Edition

Based on recent inspiration from the Facebook NC Mushroom Group posts, where people brag about their awesome foraging finds, we set out on a short walk around our neighborhood on a cloudy Sunday earlier this month. After several rainy days, we were hoping for the best, but not really expecting to find much in the urban area where we were. To our amazement, not only did we find some, the variety of fungi species we managed to spot were beyond our wildest dreams! 😳
พักนี้สมาชิกชมรมคนรักเห็ดขยันมาโพสกันอยู่เรื่อยว่าไปเจอเห็ดนั้นนี้กัน เลยเกิดแรงบันดาลใจต้องไปลองส่องเห็ดดูบ้าง เผอิญสองอาทิตย์ก่อนได้จังหวะเหมาะช่วงอากาศกำลังครึ้มฟ้าครึ้มฝนเลยไปเดินดูแถวใกล้ๆบ้าน เห็นว่าฝนตกติดต่อกันมาหลายวัน อาจจะมีมาให้เห็นบ้าง แต่ก็ไม่ได้คิดว่าจะเจออะไรมากมาย ตอนแรกนึกว่าจะเจอซักดอกสองดอก แต่ปรากฎว่ายิ่งหายิ่งเจอ ดอกแล้วดอกเล่า แถมไม่ใช่แบบซ้ำๆกันซะด้วย 😳

Without further ado, we hereby proudly present you with our colorful display of mushroom treasures we discovered that day. 😇 I am not going to pretend to be a mushroom expert and name any names for these. 🥸 We did look them up but identifications were mostly inconclusive, to say the least… 😐

และนี่ก็คืออัลบั้มเห็ดนานาพันธุ์ที่เก็บภาพมาได้จากวันนั้น หลากสีหลายขนาด 😇 แต่ไม่สามารถฟันธงบอกได้ว่ามีชนิดไหนบ้างเพราะเราไม่ใช่ผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านการเห็ด 🥸 พยายามไปลองศึกษาดูแล้วแต่ก็ไม่สามารถจริงๆ 😐

Plus one mushroom-like substance of unidentified origin… 😅

อันนี้ตอนแรกเห็นไกลๆนึกว่าเห็ด แต่ไปดูใกล้ๆปรากฎว่าไม่ใช่ 😅

All of these were spotted within a span of just under 45 minutes, where we covered a total distance of 1.71 miles. The route we took was the same one we have been doing our (mostly, when we can) daily walks on, dozens, maybe hundreds of times, but never have had any such sightings before! 😊

ทั้งหมดที่เห็นมานี้ไปเจอภายในช่วงเวลาแค่ไม่ถึง 45 นาที ครอบคลุมระยะทางรวมแล้ว 1.71 ไมล์ หรือประมาณไม่ถึง 3 กิโลดี เส้นที่เดินคือเส้นประจำที่ไปเดินกันอยู่บ่อยๆ เดินมาเป็นร้อยครั้งน่าจะได้ แต่ไม่เคยเจอเห็ดยุ่บยั่บขนาดนี้มาก่อน 😊
